Nürburgring Championship race: retirements and disappointment for Hexis Racing

Hexis Racing was looking for recovery today after a disappointing qualifying race. Unfortunately, the two McLarens were forced to retire in today’s championship race. At the first corner, Greg Demoustier was the innocent victim of a chain reaction. An Audi collided with a Mercedes-Benz and collected the n°2 MP4-12C, which lost a wheel in the process. Fred Makowiecki and Stef Düsseldorp recovered well from a distant 12th position on the grid but were forced to stop with 20 minutes to go due to an electronic issue. The team will push hard to finish the season on a high at Donington Park next week.
